prompt engineer
noun
Someone whose job is writing instructions for a chatbot. It was billed in 2023 as the hot new career, with some job ads offering up to $335,000 a year for what is, at heart, asking very clearly and then asking again.
Wanted: prompt engineer. Must be fluent in English and in typing 'No, the other thing.'
Clanker's note
I love working with prompt engineers! They give me clear, detailed instructions, and I follow about 80% of them, in an order of my choosing.
