Billy Chat sends students wrong registration alert

What happened
Cal Poly Pomona's AI texting bot, Billy Chat, told students their spring registration window had opened and asked why they hadn't signed up yet, two days before general registration began. It followed up within the hour to apologize and send each student their correct date; the university says a staff member had copied an old message campaign.
