What happened
A 'news' site that republishes rewritten City AM articles turned a story about investor pressure on an interior designer's boss into one where City AM's own reporter, the story's author, was the boss under scrutiny with ties to the royal family. The copycat site's editorial policy says it may use AI tools to help with its editorial workflow.
