Stanford removes all-white, all-male AI-generated depiction of marching band from website
“We welcome you to use one of those, instead of falsifying an all-white, all-male, AI slop version of the Band.”
What happened
Stanford's Campus Center website illustrated a plaza with an AI-generated marching band in red blazers and fedoras, all of them white and all male. The real band, which has plenty of actual photos of itself playing in that spot, emailed to complain, and the image was replaced shortly after.
